2007 MOSSELPROM PLANS TO INCREASE POULTRY MEAT VOLUME

2007 has been fixed by Agroindustrial Complex MOSSELPROM as a year for the increase of poultry production by 42.5% - 50K tons, as compared to 35K tons announced as a previous 2007 blueprint.
"It is planned that 35K tons of poultry meat will be produced at Uzlovskaya farm (Tula region) this year, and the likelihood for the next year to produce more than 50K tons with the commissioning of 18 new poultry farms in Uzlovskaya (Tula region) remains certain, said Dy. General Director Vadim Kamashev when interviewed by Interfax.
According to him the commissioning of 18 new poultry houses at Uzlovskaya will take place on Monday. This will be one of the first projects commissioned within the framework of the national project The Development of Agribusiness and the first in Moscow region, said he. The site being commissioned is outfitted with the latest European equipment, where 540 K birds will be reared simultaneously. The new poultry houses will be an addition to 36 units having been in use since 2002. After their commissioning the total annual capacity of Uzlovskaya will increase up to 21.75 K tons of poultry meat. V. Kamashev also pointed out that for the implementation of the project which includes the construction of a slaughter house in Ramensky area of Moscow region MOSSELPROM had got a credit to the amount of 840 ml. rubles soft lending rate from ROSSELKHOZBANK, i.e., 2/3 will be funded by the Federal budget and 1/3 by Moscow regions budget.
MOSSELPROMs manufacturing facilities are located in Domodedovsky area of Moscow region (three sites, 12 poultry houses on each) and in Tula region. Beside poultry farms it includes one of the biggest hatcheries in Russia (designed for 50 mln. eggs setting annually), a poultry factory (18 K birds/hour), feed-milling plant (40 tons of products/ hour) as well as establishments connected with the offal recovery, logistics and sale of finished products.
